William Steen was born ca. 1738 in Ireland. He
migrated to North Carolina in the mid-18th Century. Around 1772 he married
to Mary Lusk, who had also born in Ireland. He was a farmer
who fought on the American side in the Revolution. He was taken prisoner
during the Battle of King's Mountain in 1780. Mary died in
Mississippi. |

Robert Steen was born to William and Mary Steen in 1781
in South Carolina. He moved to Carrol County, Tennessee and then to Rankin
County, Tennessee. He was the sheriff there.

Cyrena E. Steen was born Nov. 18, 1833 in Rankin
County, Mississippi. On Nov. 21, 1850 she married Capt. Darling Pinkney,
who was born March 9, 1829 in Lawrence County, Mississippi. They moved to
Winn Parish, Louisiana. He was a farmer before the war.

Margaret Starks Pinkney was born Aug. 8, 1862 in Grant
Parish, Louisiana. Nathan David Morris was born Aug. 7, 1859 in
Winn Parish, Louisiana. He married Margaret on Sept. 14, 1879. They
lived in Zion, Louisiana. They had nine children.

Silas Nathan Morris was born Sept 4, 1880 in Rapides
Parish, Louisiana. On Sept 4, 1910 he married Mary Ella McConathy.
He died in 1970. Mary Ella was born March 31, 1887 in Bienville Parish,
Louisiana. She remembered traveling witha wagon train to Grand Parish when
she was a child. She and Silas had five children. She passed
away in 1978. They were members of the _____ Baptist Church. |

Albert Corley Morris was born Aug. 15, 1911. On
Oct. 2, 1940 he married Vera Donahoo. Corley worked on the oil rigs
offshore from south Louisiana. They had four children. Paul Allen,
an accountant, was born Aug. 15, 1946 and died ____. Larry
was born Oct. 14, 1947. David was born April 2, 1949 and Johnny
arrived Feb 21, 1956. (Back to Silas & Ella's children)

Louisiana. She worked for many years for the CIA. On July 1, 1961
she married Harry V. Wilson. She lives in Long Beach, California.

Ottis was born July 30, 1920 in Georgetown,
Louisiana. He served in France during World War II. He was a U.S. Forester. On May 30, 1959 he married Virginia
Ann Fergeson Reed, a teacher who was born Oct. 1926 in Havana,
Arkansas. On Nov 29, 1963 James Clinton was born to Ottis and Virginia
while they were living in Mt. Ida, Arkansas. Linda Ann Reed,
Virginia's daughter by a previous marriage, claims Ottis as her own. She
introduces him as "my Ottis", which means to her "world's greatest
dad". Virginia and Ottis live in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. |

On Dec. 30, 2000 Clint Morris married Bobbie Sue Sanders from Alma,
Arkansas. They live in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Clint was a Captain in
the U.S. Army. He then went to Bosnia on a demining mission for a private
company employed by the U.S.. He is now a computer networking specialist
and teacher. Bobbie Sue is attending college at Westark College in Ft.
Smith. They both enjoy Civil War Reenacting. |
